Using the RTI Model and our own Database, we effectively evaluate student behavior and readiness for transition.
When a student is placed in our program by a district we immediately ask what is the limiting factor in the student’s behavior that requires an alternative placement. This establishes the target behaviors on which we will be working.
At that time we also develop replacement behaviors and a plan that is designed to shape behavior by providing skill training, counseling, incentives for the replacement behavior and disincentives for the target behavior.
When the student starts at IEP School we can start our interventions immediately and track the frequency of target and replacement behaviors and skill attainment. Over time we regularly review all behavior data and analyze the student’s response to our interventions.
